Authorities responded to reports of a black truck containing stolen metals at a home in Cannon County. According to wkrn.com, deputies encountered a man in the black truck allegedly circling doughnuts around the front yard of the residence at 2052 Petty Gap Road Monday night. The deputies were forced to open fire on the man after he attempted to run them over. The suspect was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he later died. The investigation is ongoing and the Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation will turn the case over to the District Attorney General for further review. Authorities are waiting to release the name of the suspect.
