William Albert Warren, age 86, of Smithville passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital in Smithville. He was the former Associate District 4 Supervisor of the University of Tennessee Agriculture Extension Service and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Warren was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he got a B.S. in Agricultural Education and his Masters in Extension Education. He was a veteran of the United States National Guard and an avid outdoorsman.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Brother Charles Williams will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents William Thomas Warren and Winnie Trail Warren; a wife, Eva Glenn Warren; Sisters, Alma Milligan, Lou Davis Higgins, and Margaret Williams; Brother, Alex Stone.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Judy Thweatt Warren of Smithville; 1 Daughter, Karen (Kim) Friesen of Indiana; 2 Grandsons, Grant and Garrett Friesen; Step-Children, Lori Odom (Jason Brown), and Scott Odom; step-grandchildren, Cooper and Kennedy Odom; Brother, Bob (Buddy Faye) Warren of McMinnville; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
In addition to flowers, the family has requested donations to the DeKalb County 4H. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
