25-0 and two tournament championships under their belt in one day was the result of the weekend the Westside Eagles junior high basketball team turned in from Saturday. The first championship was the James C. Haile State Invitational Tournament Championship as the Westside Eagles beat Morrison School 39-37 in the Class Single A Division. Head Coach Roger Haley was named Coach of the Tournament and the West Side Cheerleaders took home the Spirit award. The day wasn’t done yet for the Eagles basketball team as they had to travel back home to Woodbury for the Championship game of the County Tournament vs Woodland. At the end of the game the Eagles carried that championship trophy back to Westside School too.
