The United States Marine Corps Vice Marshal for the 2014 Annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday November 8th, in Woodbury, honoring
all of the Veterans of Cannon County, is Joe Prince. Joe served
with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Joe was a rifleman fighting in the jungles of Vietnam. His unit was in the
northern portion of South Vietnam in the area of DaNang. His unit
was based in the the Marble Mountain area, south of DaNang, which
was a hot zone with heavy North Vietnam VietCong forces opposing the Marine units based in that area. His unit later moved to a special
Marine Camp on the Airfield at Marble Mountain. Joe recently made
an outstanding briefing and pictorial presentation at the
Historical Society on his experiences while fighting in the Vietnam
War. The Veterans and Concerned Citizens of Veterans wish to honor and pay tribute to Joe Prince for his service to the United States.
