United Way’s Community Baby Shower In Full Swing

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties has begun collecting items for the second annual Community Baby Shower.  Items will be collected through February 1, 2015. Last year’s Community Baby Shower resulted in over 4,000 items collected and 250 baby bags assembled by 65 volunteers.  The baby bags were then distributed to at-risk mothers and families in Rutherford and Cannon counties.
Items needed to complete the baby bags include: diapers, onesies (newborn – 6 months), baby wipes, bottles, and blankets (new items only). Items may be delivered to the United Way office, City Auto, the Rutherford County Health Department, or La Vergne City Hall. For drop off location addresses, visit www.unitedwayvolunteer.org/communitybabyshower.
