The Cannon County Historical Society will meet tonight at the Cannon Senior Center 609 Lehman Street The featured speaker is currently working on Take It Away Uncle Dave-The Life and Music of Uncle Dave Macon. Dr. Michael Doubler is the great grandson of Uncle Dave Macon and in addition to his current project has also penned Uncle Dave Macon -A Photo Tribute and several other books. He has enjoyed a long career as a solider scholar. He is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point and served for 23 years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He participates in the leadership of the Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival. Snacks and refreshments will be served at 6;30 tonight and the program will begin at 7:00. Everyone is welcome
