Auditions for Tarzan the Musical will be held tonight at 6:30 and Tuesday night at 6:30 at the Arts Center of Cannon County. Director is Darryl Deason. Music Director Allison Hall with the choreographer Lauren McCloud Johnson. Production dates are March 20-April 4. Rehearsals will begin in January. Anyone planning on auditioning for the role of Tarzan please email darryltdeason@gmail.com to schedule an appointment time for your audition and to receive an audition preparation packet. All other auditions do not need an appointment time. Those that have a background in dancing are encouraged to audition. Auditions will be done in small groups. Singing Auditions consists of each person preparing a musical selection of roughly 16 measures showcasing vocal ability. Please sing a song in the style of the show with examples of any Disney based musical. Please bring sheet music accompaniment for the song you wish to perform. An accompanist will be provided. Speakers for a IPod or phone will be provided. A CD player will not be provided. Familiarize yourself with songs from Tarzan before auditions as you will be taught selections from the show to audition as well.
