The Eye Center and Stones River Hospital has announced the addition of Dr. F. Kirk Bowles to The Medical Specialty Clinic in Woodbury. The Specialty Clinic at the hospital will serve as a satellite location for Dr. Bowles where he will see patients for medical and surgical care. He will be performing eye and eyelid surgeries at Stones River Hospital.
Dr. Bowles is with The Eye Center, serving the communities of Gallatin, Lafayette, Lebanon, Murfreesboro, and now Woodbury. A graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Dr. Bowles completed his residency at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bowles joined The Eye Center in 1997. He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and routinely handles all patient eye care needs. He specializes in No Stitch, No Shot, No Patch Cataract Surgery, Multifocal ReStor Lens implants (for both near and distance vision), Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, Laser Eyelid Surgery and Refractive Eye Surgery.
Dr. Bowles has joined surgical missions to remote areas of third world countries where he provides greatly needed ophthalmic surgery.
He and his wife Catherine have two daughters, Ellis (5) and Betsy (3).
