Saturday Is A Busy Day For Cannon County

Saturday brings various options of family activities to Cannon County.  In addition to the Fishing Rodeo, the first Saturday during the month of June brings the annual Gassaway Homecoming.  The homecoming festivities will begin at 6:00 with a Ham Breakfast and will be an all day event offering music, games, vendors, fish fry, parade and more.  There will be a Ham Giveaway, Rocking Chair giveaway and $100 to be given away throughout the event.  The Gilley Bros will wrap up the all day Homecoming Saturday night beginning around 7:00. The Cannon County High School Cross Country team will have a car wash Saturday from 8:00 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon at the First National Bank in Woodbury to raise funds for their 2015 season.  Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from any team member

This Saturday the “Heart Of Tennessee Classic Chevy Club” of Murfreesboro will be displaying a collection of their classic Chevys at the Wartrace MusicFest. Gates open at 10:00 AM with over 30 arts & crafts vendors, barbecue, and a Kid’s Zone with inflatable, pony rides, art tables, face painting, games, and a full day of live music on two stages starting at 1:00 PM. The day ends with a big fireworks show. Admission is $5. for adults and children under 12 free. There’s free parking and rough camping available.
