Sandy Kay Johnson, 57, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. A native of Cannon Co., she is the daughter of Howard and Lois Todd Johnson of Woodbury.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her sisters, Pennie (Charles) Johnson of Woodbury, Tracy (Brent) Mooneyham of Woodbury, Deborah (Charlie) Cantrell of McMinnville and Lisa Johnson of McMinnville; nieces and nephews, Nickel Eaton, Chucky Johnson, Steven Mooneyham, Michalia Mooneyham and Chloe Pack. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ovalee and Molly Johnson and Leighman and Hassie Todd and her beloved dog, Harley.
A member of the Smith Grove church of Christ, Sandy was known in the medical field as an EMT with IV, X-Ray tech and a dispatcher. She had a servants heart and would always think of others before herself. She loved to travel to the Smokey Mountains, listen to George Strait and was a big supporter of the TN Vols.
Sandy will always be remembered for her loving heart, fun loving spirit, her beautiful smile and her kind words. Being a recipient of organ donation, Sandy wanted to encourage everyone to consider the gift of life.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 26, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg, Bro. Norman Pelham and Clarence Santini officiating. Interment will follow in Center Hill cemetery. Pallbearers include members of the Cannon Co. Ambulance service.
Visitation with her family will be Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Monday, February 26, 2024 until her time of service.
