Macon Brown Nichols Jennings, 99, of McMinnville and a native of Cannon Co., passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Kay) Jennings, Violet (Freddy) Barrett and Carol Bryan all of Woodbury, Sharon (Mike) Driver and Russell Craig Jennings both of McMinnville; siblings, Ray (Jean) Nichols, Sue Reed and Faye Fann all of Woodbury. 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and extended family also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Clarence & Sadie Davenport Nichols; her husband whom she married on November 26, 1938 and who passed in 1979, Burley William “Perk” Jennings; son-in-law, Wallace Bryan, grandson, Matt Jennings and siblings and their spouses, Irene Morris, Leon (Frances) Nichols and Aubrey (Tina) Nichols. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Aubrey and Asilene Jennings.
A member of the Ivy Bluff church of Christ and the Centertown Home Demonstration Club, Ms. Jennings was retired from Val Dor. She was also a seamstress and baker. She also enjoyed being a homemaker lovingly raising her family of whom she adored.
Graveside Services will be 2:30 PM Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Ivy Bluff Cemetery, 101 Wade Rd. Woodbury, TN. 37190 with Bro. Mike Driver officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
