Overcoming a ten point deficit in the first half, the Cannon County Lions went back to the basic game plan and fought their way back in the game in the third quarter eventually beating the Page Patriots in the loser’s semifinal bracket of the Friendship Christian Academy Tournament 62-56. Brandon Miles who was limited to just two points in Thursday’s blowout loss to Lead Academy, exploded for 13 of his game high 19 points in the second half. Lane Willis finished with 16 points including 6 of 9 from the free throw line down the stretch. Cannon improved their record to 3-10 overall with the win and now will play in the fifth place game Saturday afternoon at 1:30.
