The 2014-2015 basketball campaign for the Cannon County Lions began with a loss to Chattanooga Brainerd by 12. The season came to an end with a rematch in Woodbury Tuesday night against Chattanooga Brainerd with a loss by 12 57-45 in the sectional round of the postseason. The Lions came back from a big run by Brainerd to lead at halftime 28-25 but the athleticism of Brainerd was too much for Cannon as Brainerd forced Cannon to alter their shots, created turnovers and hit open jumpers and layup opportunities. Brainerd started their last run in the third quarter and increased their lead in the fourth. AJ Daniel led all scorers with 13 in his final game as a Lion. Garrett McReynolds fouled out with 11. Cannon’s winning streak stops at 15 and they finished off an incredible season with a 28-6 overall record.
