Lionettes Hope To Demagnetize Central Tuesday Night

Six games remain in the regular season for the Cannon County basketball teams and out of the six, five are left against district teams.  The game tonight features a district team that has been a huge surprise in only their second year in existence.  Central Magnet Lady Tigers enter Robert A Harris Gymnasium sporting an 18-3 overall record.  Of those three loses have come to Cannon 74-51 and the other two to Cookeville and Livingston both games in overtime and both on the road.  Central is 4-2 in District 8-AA and while Cannon is 19-3, two of those losses have come to district opponents in the last three games played.  Most recent the Lionettes lost on the road in Jamestown to York Institute a team in which Central has yet to play.  The Cannon County Lions went on the road Friday night and scooped up a much needed road win.  They come back home tonight very much alive in the district race despite being a game below 500 at 10-11. their district record is 4-3.  Central Magnet is last in the district at 0-6.  WBRY’s coverage will begin at 5:45 with the coaches corner and the tipoff of the game at Robert A Harris Gymnasium will be at 6:00.  We encourage as much fan support as possible Radio broadcast will be on AM-1540/FM96.7 WBRY and streaming online at wbry.com
