Johnny Travis, 76, passed away at his home Saturday, May 09, 2020. He was a native of Cannon Co but lived in Milton.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pamela Mankin Travis of Milton; sons, William Douglas Travis, and Bruce Wayne Travis both of Milton, Matthew Allen Travis of Woodbury; daughters-in-law, Amie Travis of Woodbury, and Tonia Travis of Milton; grandchildren, Megan King, Madison, Briar, Dawn, Adora, Ivy Grace, David and Tucker Travis; great grandchildren, Logan, Benjamin, and Millie King and siblings, Butch (Barbara) Travis, Tony and Jerry Travis both all of Smyrna, Joe (Mary) Travis of Murfreesboro, and Flora Mae Gunnells of Walter Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Mary Shipp Travis and siblings, Ruby Lovvorn, Barry Travis and Tim Travis.
Johnny loved going to Sonic every day for a Jr. cheeseburger and ice cream. He also enjoyed golfing, listening to Merle Haggard, and playing guitar but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the Travis Family Farm in Milton with Pastor Jason Barrett officiating. Pallbearers will be his sons and grandchildren.
