Ike Parker, Jr., 86, passed away Wed., September 16, 2020 at Woodbury Health Care. A native of Cannon Co., he lived in Bradyville.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hazel Charlene Farless Parker of Bradyville; 4 children, Vicky (Larry) Campbell of Woodbury, Deborah (Mickey) Fricks of Bradyville, Mark Parker and Roger (Danna) Parker both of Woodbury; grandchildren, Jamie (Tyler) Morten, Angie (Tony) James, Andy Parker, Signa (Eli) Walden, Cody Fricks, Will (Shellie) Parker, Dillon (Rachel) Parker, Bo Parker, Emily (Derek) Elgin and Matthew Pemberton; 11 great grandchildren; nephew, Jeremy Parker and his dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ike Parker, Sr. & Dorothy Davenport Alexander and his great grandson, Ralph Walden.
Ike was a member of the New Hope church of Christ and retired from General Electric after 32 years. He was born and raised on the family farm that his great grandfather bought in 1800’s and that’s where he raised his family as well. After retirement, he bought a portable sawmill and enjoyed many days using it.
Graveside Services will be 2:30 pm Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Cherry Cemetery with Bro. Ralph Richardson officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 noon until 2 pm Woodbury Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Short Mtn. Bible Camp or New Hope church of Christ.
