Howard Knox, Jr., age 78, of Woodbury passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his home. He was a native of Cannon Co.
Survivors include his children, Lisa Knox Smith & Tim of Nolensville and Chris Knox & Susan of Murfreesboro; Grandchildren, Katelyn Smith, Hayley (Harrison) Waldron, & Natalie Knox; Great Grandson, Liam Hollis; and Sister, Johnnie (Floyd) Alexander of Nashville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Knox, Sr. & Myrtle Reed Knox; first wife, Janice Tate Knox; second wife, Judy Gilley Knox; sister, Mary Rogers; and brother-in-law, Wade Rogers.
Howard was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ and was a retired minister of 35 years at New Hope Church of Christ.
Funeral Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at New Hope Church of Christ with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Gardens Cemetery. The family requests friends for visitation from 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Woodbury Funeral Home and from 1 PM until time of the service at New Hope Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will include Russell Alexander, Glenn Alexander, Mike Alexander, & Joe Knox.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Howard Knox, Jr.
