Clayton Thomas Underwood, 81, passed away Sat., January 20, 2018 at St. Thomas Stones Rutherford. A native of Homestead, FL., he lived in Woodbury.
Mr. Underwood is survived by his wife, Dolores; Brother & wife; Harold & Dorcas Underwood; Sister; Patricia Hull; Brother-in-law & sister-in-law; Bobby & Jayne Leitch; Children; Rick & Donna, Vickie Lynn, Jeff & Jana; Step Children; Debora, Donna, Patrick & Dawn Marie; Grandchildren; Jason & Stephanie, Justin & Rebekah, Scott & Nicole, Christopher & Nicole, Matthew & Shannon, Clayton & Callie & Carter; Nine great grandchildren; Ashtyn, Avery, Addyson, Andrew, Aiden, Abram, Jude, Rose & Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Clayton & Gladys Anderson Underwood; wife, Joann Bryant Underwood, and brother-in-law, Lonny Hull.
Mr. Underwood was a farmer, a member of the Cornerstone Community Church and former member of Princeton Church of Nazarene in Princeton, FL. He was a long-term Sunday school teacher for over 30 years, board member and youth leader. Thomas loved his family, reading, horses, farming and his church.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Rick McFerrin & Bro. Rick Underwood, Ph.D. officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Monday, Jan. 22, 2018.
