Tourism is one of the top revenue bringers in for Cannon County. With signature tourist attractions such as the Readyville Mill, Short Mountain Distillery, Arts Center of Cannon County and the antique shops on the Woodbury Town square, the more exposure the Middle Tennessee area residents received of these establishments, the more opportunities for tourism dollars to be hauled in for the County. The Cannon County Chamber of Commerce recognized the need for promoting tourism and in the past year, the Chamber has stepped up to start the process of promoting Cannon County to a wider audience. In addition to advertising the County through local media, the Chamber helped put together a 20 second advertisement that is seen each week during a broadcast of the popular Antiques Roadshow which is shown on WCTE TV 22. In addition the chamber hired a firm out of Murfreesboro to help them showcase the County better. This marketing firm, Adams Mabry and Swann has revitalized the chamber website and increased the traffic of the chamber’s Facebook page dramatically.
