Sally Koblinsky

72 year old Sally Ann Koblinsky of Woodbury passed away Tuesday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. Sally was also an avid volunteer with the Baptist Children’s Home of NC. She fostered 12 children throughout her lifetime. Sally loved her Lord and church. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Smithville . Chad Ramsey will officiate. Burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home and Friday at the First Baptist Church. Doors will open at 1 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Clara Pearl Carmichael and a sister, Susan Ruth Crawford. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Thomas W. Koblinsky of Woodbury. One daughter, Cynthia Ann and Michael Matthew Madden of Smyrna. One son, Robert D. and Patti Koblinsky of Nashville. One granddaughter, Marissa Lillian Madden of Smyrna. One sister, Joann Bowers of Virginia and a brother, Stanley Larry Carmichael of Virginia. The family has asked that no flowers be sent but to please make donations to the First Baptist Youth Group. Verita Tenpenny

Verita Elaine Tenpenny, 58, of Murfreesboro passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 at Northside Healthcare.  She was a native of Cannon Co., Tn. 
She is survived by her brother, Terry Tenpenny of Murfreesboro; Her loving Cat, Pumpkin; Uncles and Aunts, Gordon (Sara) Bell of Murfreesboro, G.L. (Jerri Ann) Tenpenny and Louella Johnson all of Woodbury, Berry Sue Penner of Hendersonville, NC, and Pauline (Harold) Mathis of MI.; Special Friends,  Kathy Rogers & Lynn Soloman both of Murfreesboro.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Dee & Juanita Bell Tenpenny.
 
Verita was a member of the Barfield Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She loved to crochet, make prayer shawls, baby blankets and crosses.
 
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Friday, February 02, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Byers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Centerhill Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm to 9 pm Thursday, Feb. 01, 2018.

Billy Mayo

Billy Lee Mayo, 48, passed away Mon., January 29, 2018 at St. Thomas West after a short illness.  He was a native of Cannon Co., Tn.He is survived by his wife, Wanda Markum Mayo of Woodbury; Children, Rachel (Kevin) Miller, Jonathan (Carla) Johnson all of Bradyville, Hunter Mayo and Aleyiah Mayo both of Gordonsville; Father, Roy Mayo of Lebanon; Sister, Martha “Kat” (Danny) Morgan of Al.; 5 Nephews, Bubba & Dustin Nichols, Casey, Clint & Cody Morgan; Aunt, Linda Patterson of Murfreesboro; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Troy and Jean Murphy of Woodbury.  He was so excited to be expecting his first grandchild in August. 
 
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Dorothy Jean South and Chuck South and his grandmother, Martha York.
 
A member of the Baptist church, Billy was a roofer and construction worker.  He loved fishing and being outdoors.

Odell Fann

Odell Vance Fann, age 68, of Murfreesboro, passed away January 27, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Odell was a life-long resident of Rutherford County. She was the daughter of Rufus Becton Beecher Vance and Ollie Mollie Edna Lee Jones Vance. She grew up in downtown Murfreesboro and attended McFadden Elementary and Central High School. She graduated with the class of 1968. Odell played basketball for the Central Tigers from 1964-1968. She was a loving wife to her husband of 49 years, Ben Carmack Fann, a good mother to her son, Richard Lee Fann of Shelbyville and granddaughter Jessica Danielle Fann of Murfreesboro, Thomas Stone of Woodbury and his son Kaceton Stone plan to join her family soon. She is survived by her brother, James Edward Vance of Murfreesboro; several nieces, nephews and she had a devoted fur companion named Princess that was loved dearly.
Odell was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Beecher Vance Jr and Robert Vance; sisters, Mamie Jenson, Mable Victory and Joe Ann Bowman.
Odell worked in Murfreesboro most of her life. She began working in high school at Harrison Drugs in the malt shop and later at Cowan’s Department Store. She worked for Park Sherman Industries, ProCon and National Health Corporation. She worked for Singer Sewing Company for more than 30 years and retired in February of 2005 to become a homemaker. Odell’s interests included family, reading, cooking, antiques and playing bingo. She will be remembered for the beautiful quilts she made for her loved ones. She was a resident of the Meadow Hills Subdivision in Murfreesboro.
Visitation with the family will be 4:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
Chapel service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Jason Barrett and Mike Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include nephews, Steve Lannom, Bruce Harris, Lamar Tate, Joshua Tate, Steven Harris and Joshua Agee and employees of Farrar Brothers Construction.

Barry Halliburton

Barry Leon Halliburton, age 66, of Bell Buckle passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 following an extended illness. He was a native of Readyville. Survivors include his son, Jason (Bridgette) Halliburton of Maryville; Grandchildren, Jaylen and Kaylee Halliburton of Maryville; Brothers, Mike (Sandy) Halliburton of Readyville & Russell (Beverly) Halliburton of Woodbury. 
Mr. Halliburton was preceded in death by his parents, Brady & Jeanette Tilford Halliburton and nephew, Josh Halliburton. 
He was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired from production at Bridgestone. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Halliburton was a big Nascar Racing fan. 
Memorial Services will be 6 PM Thursday, Februrary 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Brother Doyle Hayes officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until time of service Thursday, February 1.

Houston Parker Jr.

Houston Parker, Jr., age 70, of McMinnville passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at his home.  He was a native of Cannon Co.  
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Martha Lynn Braswell Parker of McMinnville; Children, Brad (Tiffany) Parker of Woodbury & Melissa Cantrell (Jeremy) Lance of McMinnville; Grandchildren, Mackenzie & Mackayla Parker; Brother-in-laws & Sister-in-laws, Bernie Brazle, Faye Reed, Ray & Joan Braswell, and Louise & Paul Foster; and Uncle & Aunt, Grover & Mary Parker.  Several nieces, nephews, & friends also survive.
 
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Houston Parker, Sr. & Martha Davis Parker, and an infant son.
 
He was a member of the Blues Hill Church of Christ and was retired from Carrier after 34 years.  He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the United States Army.  Mr. Parker enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting, but loved spending time with his granddaughters.
 
Funeral Services will be 1 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bros. Jerry Gilley & David Gilley officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 8 PM Monday, January 29, 2018.

Ann Todd

Ann Howard Ward Todd, 90, passed away Friday January 26, 2018.  She was born in Lascassas, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Buddy Todd. 
She was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State Teachers College and taught school for 30 years in Cannon County.  She was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ.
 
Survivors include; two sons, Stephen Ward Todd of Woodbury and Bruce Todd of Murfreesboro; 6 grandchildren; six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
 
Graveside services for Ann Howard Ward Todd will be 10:00 am Monday, January 29, 2018 at Riverside Gardens Cemetery.

Leslie Love

Leslie Rae Love, 35, who passed away Tues., January 23, 2018 at Vanderbilt Hospital. She was born in Cannon Co. 
She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Odom Love of Readyville; Sister, Katie Love of Cookeville; Aunts and Uncles, John & Joy Resko of Bradyville, Billy & Betty Love and Jimmy & Kristy Love all of Woodbury, Rhonda L. Jackson of Little Rock, Joey & Beverly Odom and Larry & Vicky Campbell of Readyville; Special Great Aunt and Uncle, Ann & Bob Green of Murfreesboro.
 
She was preceded in death by her father who was her most favorite person, James Michael Love and her grandparents, Joe & Janice Odom, Jimmy & Kathleen Love.
 
Leslie loved everybody especially her daddy and grandpa. Although she was special needs she was well traveled and loved bowling.  Even in death, Leslie continued her love for people as she was an organ donor and through her donation she helped 7 people live.

Tommy Hale

Tommy Darrell Hale, 50, passed away Wed., Jan. 24, 2018 at his home following an extended illness.  He was a native of Cannon Co., TN. 
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Hale of Woodbury; Children, Jay (Randi) Hale, Megan Hale and Hailey (Emby) King all of Woodbury; Mother, Joyce Brown Hale of Woodbury; Sisters, Gayle (Mark) Jones of Woodbury, Pam (Mike) Horne of OK.; Grandchildren,  Brenton, Jayci & Kayleigh Hale, Landan, Laykan & Leighah King all of Woodbury; Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Hale and his son, Brenton Clay Hale.
 
Tommy was a member of the Smith Grove Church of Christ and a Salesman for Haynes Brothers Lumber company.  A former Cannon Co. Firefighter and Rescue Squad member, Tommy was also a former member of the Cannon Co. School Board where he served as Chairman.  He loved his church, fishing and spending time with his grandbabies. 
 
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow in the Prater Cemetery. Pallbearers include Curt Haynes, Randall Holt, Blake Brower, John Acuff, Gary Curtis, Guy Smith and Hunter Vickers.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm to 9 pm Fri, Jan. 26, 2018 and till 9 pm Sat., Jan. 27, 2018.
