Ross Harry Stiver, III, 65, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. Thomas Stones River.
He is survived by his wife, Jerry Ruth Hall Stiver of Woodbury; siblings, William Stiver and Paul Stiver of Cincinnati, OH., Easter Boyd of Honaker, VA and Roger Stiver of IL.; special niece, Jamie Trail of Manchester; sisters-in-law, Helen Miller, Joann & Jimmy Trail of Manchester. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Harry Stiver, Jr. and Daisy Barger Stiver; brothers, Joe, Cliff, Alan, Johnny, Bobby, Willie, Charles & James Stiver.
Ross was a construction worker.

Mary Lee Goins Harrison, age 90, of Woodbury passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at Woodbury Health and Rehab. She was a native of Cannon Co.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Roy Rowland of Yulee, FL; sister, Peggy (David) Ferrell of Woodbury. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her parents, John & Estelle Finley Goins; 2 sons, Johnny & Steve Bowen; 1 daughter, Judy Slatton; and siblings, Jessie and Bobby Goins and Faye Goins Holt.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Harrison enjoyed fishing, cooking, and loved her dogs.
Funeral Services will be 3 pm Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg officiating. Louise “Sammie” Smithson Taylor, 90, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Woodbury Health and Rehab. She was a native of Cannon Co. and resided in Bradyville. She is survived by son, Bobby (Jenette) Taylor of Manchester; daughter-in-law, Joyce Taylor of Woodbury; grandchildren, Lisa (Gary) Blanton and Alan (LeighAnn) Taylor of Woodbury, Stephen (Tammy) Taylor of Bradyville, Amy (Tom) Rhodelander of Shawnee, Kansas; great grandchildren, Taylor Blanton, Hannah and Hendrix Taylor, Mitchell and Abi Taylor, Aylee and Evan Rhodelander; siblings, Loy (Carlas) and Jerry (Carmen) Smithson all of Woodbury.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Arminda Sadler Smithson; her son, Jimmy Taylor; her great grandson, Jake Taylor and her brothers, Donnie and Vernie Mae Smithson and Paul and Juanita Smithson.
She was a member of the McMahan Church of Christ. She had a love for her church, grandchildren and animals. She enjoyed eating out and visiting with others. Her very best friend was Vernie Mae Smithson and she had a special friend and roommate Lucille Parton.
Graveside Services will be 3:30 pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at McMahan Cemetery with Bro. Herb Alsup and Jim Jones. Pallbearers include Gary and Taylor Blanton, Alan, Stephen and Mitchell Taylor, Daniel Smithson and David Goin. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 11 am until 3 pm.

Richard Howard Brennesholtz, Sr.
Richard Howard Brennesholtz, Sr., 86, of Morrison passed away on May 4, 2018. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey on April 18, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Mary Kleshefski Brennesholtz; step-son, Kenneth Downs; brothers, George (Betty Ann) Brennesholtz and Edward (Dorothy) Brennesholtz; and a sister, Florence (Harry) Hladki and their daughter, Karen Hladki.He is survived by a son, Richard Brennesholtz, Jr. of Hendersonville; daughters, Joanne (Randy) Warta of Morrison and Lysa (John) Coe of Lebanon; grandchildren, Mark (Kelly) Graham, Jr. and Justin (Erika) Brennesholtz; great granddaughters, Alyssa, Avery, and Mila; niece, Peggy; and a nephew Edward.
Mr. Richard loved to travel. He traveled to many locations, including a 2-week trip across 12 states to the west coast with Joanne. When he wasn’t traveling he loved being at home in sunny Florida. He had a wide variety of interests. He loved to cook, make candy & fudge, make candles, doing stained glass & enjoyed dancing and the theatre. He was an avid bowler and was on a team for many years. He loved gardening. He loved life and being with his family and friends. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.

Melvin Gail Reed
Melvin Gail Reed, 80, passed away Mon., May 07, 2018 at NHC Murfreesboro. He was a native of Cannon Co. and resided in Readyville.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Annette Turney Reed of Readyville; his sons, Marlon Reed, Keith Reed and James Reed all of Readyville; 2 grandchildren, Annie Grace Reed & Isabella Claire Reed; brother-in-law, Jimmy Bugg of Woodbury; nieces, Cindy Bugg Odle and her husband, Jeff and Sandra Bugg Whitesell and her husband, Alan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Reed & Irma Gentry Reed and his sister, Joyce Bugg.
Mr. Reed was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ and was a retired truck driver with Bunny Bread. He enjoyed farming and gardening.

Rosalie Mary Hays, age 74, of Woodbury passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at St. Thomas Stones River Hospital. She was a native of Chicago, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Paul Hays of Woodbury; and Brother, Leonard Novak of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Angeline Novak; and her sister, Donna Novak.
Ms. Hays was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at the Cannon County Senior Center and enjoyed serving others.

Bobby Barrett
Mr. Bobby Barrett, known to family and friends as “Cob”, 77, of Woodbury passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, C. L. Barrett and Louise Gill Barrett; brothers, Jimmy Barrett, Pearson Barrett, Donald Wayne Barrett, and Joe Barrett.Survivors include his loving companion, Betty Bailey; brother, Dee (Joan) Barrett of Readyville; sisters, Shirley (Allen) Moody of Murfreesboro, Mary (Tom) Effler of Readyville; best friend and cousin, Billy Gerald Barrett; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.
Mr. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman. He would rather be outside hunting, fishing, or working on the farm than anywhere else. Many of the deer and turkey he harvested were shared with family and friends. He was a good hearted and hard-working person, even if a little rough and tumble, fearless one, too. He was always willing and able to help his friends and family. If you could get him to sit down it would be to watch an episode of Gunsmoke, an old western, or a Braves game. He loved to be with his family and friends having a good laugh and sharing a story.
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Smith Funeral Home chapel at 1 pm. Johnathon Wayne Darrow
Johnathon Wayne Darrow, age 28, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 after an auto accident. He was born in Murfreesboro and lived in Woodbury. He is survived by his parents, John Darrow of Camden, TN and Christina Hughes Goodwin of Woodbury; Fiancée, Angel Renee Ferrell of Woodbury; Children, Serenity, Carter, Camden and daughter-to-be, Angel Rose; Brother, Daniel James Darrow of Murfreesboro; Sisters, Sarah Rose Darrow & Olivia Marie Goodwin both of Woodbury and Heather Lee Luckett of Detroit, Michigan; Grandparents, Steve & Marie Peterson of Murfreesboro and John & Pat Darrow of Camden, TN. Numerous other uncles, aunts, and cousins also survive.
Johnathon was a painter and enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Graveside services will be 3:30 pm Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Amity Cemetery in Woodbury with Rev. Kenneth Hale officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 until 3 PM Sunday, May 6 at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Mrs. Virginia Bea Parker age 92 of Woodbury died April 28, 2018 of an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison Simmons and Carnellia Bush Simmons; husband, Jimmy Parker, three sisters, Clara Burks, Ollie May McDougal, and Ruth Barnett, and her son-in-law, Melvin Green.Survivors include two daughters, Barbara & James Perry and Phyllis Green, two grandchildren, Vanessa & Mike Bailey and Greg Green and Tammy, two great grandchildren, Ana and Steven Smith and Jordan Bailey, two great grandchildren, Nora and Levi Smith. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
She was a member of the Smith Grove Church of Christ, a homemaker, and a former employee of Colonial Corporation. Being a parent to five generations was her favorite gift in life.

W. T. Todd, 78, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Upchurch Todd of Woodbury; 2 Sons & Daughters-in-law, Jeff & Beth Todd and Tommie & Lori Todd all of Woodbury and 4 Grandchildren, Chandler, Addison, Jake and Seth Todd all of Woodbury.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hoyte and Retha Atlee Gaither Todd and his sister Martha Hoyte Todd.
Mr. Todd was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Woodbury, a lifelong educator and member of the Woodbury Lions Club.
