Anita Marie Rosser, 53, passed away Thursday, November 08, 2018 at St. Thomas Rutherford. He was a native of Cairo, GA.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashely (J.D.) Preston of Bell Buckle, TN.; grandson, J.J. Preston of Bell Buckle; father, Freeman Ruff of Cairo, GA.; siblings, Vickie (William) Blackburn of Woodbury; Maurice (Sonya) Ruff of Cairo, GA., Eugene Ruff of Atlanta, GA. and Michelle Ruff of Cairo, GA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Maxwell Ruff and daughter, Candace Miller.
A member of Plainview Baptist church, she was a loan specialist.

Judy Gilley Knox
Judy Gilley Knox, 70, passed away Wed., October 31, 2018 at Alive Hospice. A native of Cannon Co., she was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Garnett Reed Gilley and her sister, Dorothy Stephens.She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Howard Knox, Jr. of Murfreesboro; children, Lisa Knox Smith and her husband, Tim of Nolensville and Chris Knox and his wife, Susan of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Katelyn Smith, Hayley Waldron and her husband, Harrison and Natalie Knox; great grandson, Liam Hollis; sister, Linda Parton and her husband, David of Woodbury. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A member of the Church of Christ, Judy was a homemaker, loved to read and garden.
Per Judy’s request, graveside services will be 2 pm Friday, Nov. 02, 2018 at Riverside Gardens with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon till 1:45 Friday, Nov. 02, 2018. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or World Christian Broadcasting.

James E. Miller
James E. “Jim” Miller, 78, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his home in Bradyville, TN.
Jim was born on April 8, 1940 in Niles, MI to the late Clark and Oma (Lovell) Miller. He had a successful career as an auto mechanic specializing in transmission repair and was also a bus driver for Cannon County for many years. He married Peggy Young on December 17, 1976. Jim was a member of Lumley Stand Church of Christ. Jim was heavily involved in the church throughout the years and his local community by assisting in the building of the Midway Fire Hall. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and wood working. Jim’s greatest passion was his love of family.
Jim was one of the kindest people you could ever meet and had genuine love for everyone he knew. He will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Oma Miller; siblings, Mildred, John, Ella May, Tom, Franklin, Margaret and Helen.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy and children, Lori (Bryan) Hughes of Woodbury and Kyle Miller of Bradyville, TN.; sister, Minnie Walter of Buchanan, MI; and his five grandchildren, Spencer and Emma Grace Hughes, Addison, Marshall and Jayce Miller and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Sullivan and Bro. Billy Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Midway cemetery. Olivene Corley
Ms. Olivene Corley, 82, of Bradyville passed away on October 29, 2018. She was born on October 8, 1936 in Woodbury, TN. Her parents were the late Leburn Allen and Mettie Gannon Allen. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Corley; brothers, Edward Allen and Jerry Lee Allen; and a sister, Norene Edwards.
She is survived by a son, Steven Corley of Bradyville; granddaughters, Jessica Wood of Murfreesboro and Lexi Browning of Woodbury; sister, Janie Witty of Woodbury; daughters-in-law, Michelle Browning and Sheila Corley; great grandchildren, Rilee Wood and Kinsley Wood; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Elizabeth West.
Ms. Corley graduated with the Woodbury Central High School Class of 1955. Over the years she held many different jobs with the shirt factory, White Stag, Marine Group, and 53 Market. She lived an active life. She enjoyed many hobbies including, fishing, camping, going to the lake, and flower gardening. She really enjoyed going roller skating and took her sons and their friends skating many times too. Skating was such a fun thing for her that she had once made a makeshift roller rink at their home with chicken wire around it. She decided it may be time to go to a regular rink when she got her skate caught in the wire once.
Going shopping and out to eat with her sister, Janie was always a good time for her. They enjoyed seeing friends and having a good laugh together. She loved seeing her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She was very fond of animals. Her special little dog was named Bella, her cats were Kitty Cat and Snowball, and she had a sugar glider named Keiko. She was a member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed seeing many of the gospel programs on Sunday afternoon at home.
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 2 pm in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Greg Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be in Amity Cemetery. Richard Ray Sissom. Sr.
Richard Ray “Dickie” Sissom, Sr., 64, passed away Sat., October 27, 2018 at his home following an extended illness. He was a native of Cannon Co.He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Geneva Sissom of Bradyville; his children, Angie (Jake) Istvanditsch of Bradyville, Richard Ray “Ricky” Sissom, Jr. of Centertown and Miranda (Michael) Byrd of Bradyville; grandchildren, Destinee, Dakotah, Emma, Kyle, Mallory, Kyle Michael, A.J., Lexie, Aiden and Sonnie; siblings, Diane Anderson of Manchester and Darlene (Frankie) Hill of Bradyville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth “J.T.” Sissom and Alvere Alford Sissom.
A member of the Cornerstone Community Church, Dickie was a machinist at Wertham Packaging Company. He loved to garden, fish and work on his farm but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Glenn Edward Higgins, 73, passed away Sat., October 27, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Cannon Co., Tn.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Miller Higgins of Woodbury; his children, Tim Higgins of Murfreesboro, Tracey and (Darrell) Duncan of Gallatin, Ted (Lisa) Higgins of Bedford, IN.; grandchildren, Ariel (Ben) Samons, Alex (Evan) Higgins, Austin (Linda) Higgins, Adam (Jaymee) Higgins, Matthew and Caleb Higgins; brothers, Jimmy (Connie) Higgins and Steve (Karen) Higgins all of Woodbury and sister-in-law, Barbara Higgins of Woodbury. A host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady & Lou Davis Warren Higgins and his brother, David Higgins.
A member of the Woodbury Church of Christ, he was a farmer, salesman, trucker and dedicated golfer. Glenn was red shirted his freshman year and played all four years at Mississippi State where he was Co-Captain and played in the Blue and Grey game.

Loretta Bailey
Loretta Bailey, 77, passed away Tues., October 23, 2018 at St. Thomas Rutherford. She was a native of Cannon Co. and lived in Readyville.
She is survived by her daughters, Jimmie Montgomery of Murfreesboro and Kelly (Ronnie) Hobbs of Readyville; 3 grandchildren, Dylan Beasley, Corey Greeson and Owen Beasley; siblings, Layuna Goin, Don Ray (Faye) Bailey and Freddy Belcher all of Woodbury and sister-in-law, Barbara Bailey of Bradyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Ray & Nettie Merriman Bailey; siblings, T.J. Bailey, Shirley Logan, Hugh Bob Bailey and her cousin, Hazel Blair.
Loretta worked at General Motors in Michigan and Whirlpool in LaVergne as a factory worker and trainer. A member of the Baptist church, she enjoyed working in her flowers, genealogy, bowling and people watching.

Joann Parker Sadler, age 57, of Wartrace passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare of Shelbyville ER. She was a native of Davidson Co.
Survivors include her husband, Andy Sadler of Wartrace; Children, Misty (Josh) Davis of Centertown, Wesley Hayes of Woodbury, Dewayne (Wendy) Sadler of Woodbury, & Lindsay Sadler of Murfreesboro; Siblings, Gary Hoover of Nashville, Jimmy Hoover of Texas, Cheryl (Johnny) Miller of McMinnville, & Denise Brown (Keith Trail) of Woodbury; and Nine grandchildren, Daniel Orr, Mallory Sadler, Madalynn Sadler, Makkael Sadler, Avery Lee Patchin, Mya Patchin, Crystal Sadler, Tatum Van Epps, & Simon Van Epps.
She was a Christian and a restaurant owner. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren.

Helen Dean Bynum Campbell, 79, of Murfreesboro passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at The Waters. She was a native of Cannon Co., Tn.
She is survived by her children, Tammie Diane Campbell, Jeffrey Alan (Margaret) Campbell and Christopher Lee (Heather) Campbell all of Murfreesboro and Larry James (Darlena) Campbell of Smyrna; grandchildren, Mindy Angus, Jonathan Jacobs, Nichole Moss, Ashley Campbell, Merissa Waldron, Meranda Farris, Andrew McKnight, Alex Sinvichith and Megan Carter. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Minnie Lou Mears Bynum and her husband, James B. Campbell.
Ms. Campbell was a housewife and a member of Wards Grove Baptist Church.
