Raymond Eugene Davy, Jr., 38, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at his home.  A native of Davidson Co., TN., he lived in Murfreesboro. 
He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Burdick of Murfreesboro; daughter, Abigal Davy and her mother, Michelle Davy both of Murfreesboro; Grandparents,   Al and Betty Davy of Murfreesboro; siblings, Steven (Kay) Davy of Murfreesboro, Billy (Mindy) Davy of Rockvale, Tina (Phillip) Butler of Texas; nieces and nephews, Gavin, Asher and Mason Davy, Kelsie, Morgan and Emily Davy, Vanessa and Ethan Butler; aunts and uncles, George (Marlyn) Burdick, Rick (Tera) Burdick, Gary Burdick, Pat (Jackie) Burdick, Carl (Cindy) Burdick, Janet (Walter) Dutton, Helen (Michael) Rogers, Les (Jill) Davy, Cindy (Jeff) Masters, Joey (Carolyn) Davy.  Also surviving are numerous cousins and close friends
 
He was preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Davy, Sr.; his aunt, Julia Burdick; Grandparents, Richard and Rose Burdick; his cousins, Mark Burdick and Owen Brown.
 
Raymond loved the Lord and attended World Outreach Church and Calvary Baptist Church.  On Sunday mornings, he and his mom would watch St. Edwards services on TV.  Raymond was a comedian at heart who loved spending time with his mom, his daughter and nephews.  He also loved to cook and bake.  Raymond loved football…”Roll Tide”.
 
Funeral Services will be 6 pm Monday, December 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Deacon Pete Semich officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 6 pm Monday, Dec. 17, 2018.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodbury Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.

Mrs. Rachel A. Hall Smitty was born on Aug. 10, 1934 in Nashville, TN.  She passed away Dec. 13, 2018, surrounded by her family.  She loved them very much.  She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and daughter.  She gave her whole heart to each of these roles.  She was a member of the Church of Christ and encouraged her family to lean on the Lord.  She was married to Ben David Smitty and never remarried after losing him in 1987.  She loved taking care of her family and had many friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ownby “Obie” Hall and Sarah Emma Bowers Hall and by two brothers, Roy Hall and Howard Hall.  Survived by her children, Ben David Smitty and Judy Smitty; three grandchildren, Christina Martinez, Jessica (Dustin) Taylor, and Catherine Smitty; four great grandchildren, Dillon, Allison, Ben, and Lillian Taylor; two brothers, Fred (Maryann) Hall of Franklin and Glenn (Glenda) Hall of Cookeville; four sisters, Ruth Smitty of Murfreesboro, Carole Nellums of Memphis, Joyce McKenzie of Alabama, and Linda (Roger) Reed of Lascassas; sisters-in-law, Sue Hall of Michigan and Linda Hall of Murfreesboro; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Deborah Ann Goins Brinkley, 66, passed away Sun., Dec. 9, 2018 at Alive Hospice.  A native of Cannon Co., she lived in Manchester.   
She is survived by her mother, Frankie Reed Goins of Readyville; her husband of 34 years,   Bobby Brinkley of Manchester; children,  Toby (Brenda) Gillette of Alabama, Frankie DiAnn Gillette of Alabama, Rachel Brinkley of Manchester, Amanda (Nicky) Phillips of Summitville and Jennifer (Ferman) Aranzabal of Grundy Co.; grandchildren, Tiffany and Dustin Gillette, Logan and Lucas Gillette, Noah and Matthew Sharp, Kaitlyn and Laura Fults, Nicholas and Shawnte Phillips; special friends, Tony and Donna Reed.
 
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Deary Goins, her sister, Shalia White and her grandparents, L.D. and Rena Reed, Joe and Jimmie Goins.
 
Deborah was a member of the Curlee of Christ and was a dairy farmer.  She enjoyed fishing, camping and riding her motorcycle.
 
Graveside Services will be 2 pm Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Gilley Hill Cemetery with Bro. James Lively and Bro. Dennis Thompson. Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

James “Tooney” Anthony Cummings, age 73, of Woodbury passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.  He was a native of Cannon Co. 
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Freda Davis Cummings of Woodbury; Daughter, Jackie Lacey of Woodbury; Grandchildren, Blake Cummings & Ashley Green of Woodbury; Aunts, Jean & Ray Nichols and Jewell Tarpley; and Cousins, Melba & Billy Nichols, Harold Patrick, Buford & Deb Patrick, Shane & Pat Nichols, Ronnie & Gerri Nichols, and Sandy & Mike Halliburton.
 
Tooney was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ and was retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation where he was a supervisor.  He enjoyed hunting.
 
Funeral Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. James McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 9 Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sam Larkin, 73, of Woodbury passed away on Dec. 8 , 2018.  He was born on Jan. 28, 1945 in Newark, OH.  His parents were the late James Monroe Larkin and Gertrude Hepler Larkin.  He was preceded in death by several siblings. 
He is survived by his wife, Paula Larkin; two sons, Harold Larkin and Aaron (Renee) Larkin of Wood River, IL; two daughters, Tiffany Larkin of Woodbury and Jan (Roger) Gunter of Chapel Hill; a brother, Jim (Linda) Larkin of Oakland, TN; a sister, Ginny (Gene) Danner of Ohio; six grandchildren, Devin, Dakota, Lance, Shayla, Holly, and Roger.
 
Mr. Sam’s family moved to Tennessee and he graduated from Central High School in Nashville.  During his high school years, he discovered a love for music and it drew him into playing the trombone in the band.  He later earned a B.S. Degree in IT from Tennessee Tech.  Mr. Sam had a love for people. He could talk to anyone.  This translated into a career as a salesman for industrial supplies.  He later went to work with Dell and then Ceva.  He had been enjoying retirement for the past few years. 
 
He and Mrs. Paula had celebrated 49 years of marriage in October.  He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  When his sons were young, he introduced them to the joys of camping and being a Boy Scout.  He served as a scout leader while they were involved.  He and Mrs. Paula are members of Grace Assembly of God and have been since 1993.  The church and their church family are important to them.  He served as the Adult Sunday School teacher for many years.  His love for the Lord caused him to remark to family, friends, and even strangers “Be blessed and highly favored.”  He was the type of person who considered other people and their feelings above his own.  One of he and Mrs. Paula’s favorite places to visit was Gulf Shores.  They loved taking walks on the beach and enjoying the peacefulness of the ocean.

Mr. Michael Dwayne Hollis, 52, of Morrison passed away on November 28, 2018 after an extended illness.  He was born on February 13, 1966 in Woodbury, TN.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred & Ethel Hollis and Clarence & Beulah Mears; and by father-in-law, Jerry Hughes. 
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Terri Hughes Hollis; father, Fred E. (Teresa) Hollis of Woodbury; mother, Rachel (Ron) Mears Merritt of Murfreesboro; sons, Michael D. Hollis, Jr. of McMinnville, Jonathan Hollis of Morrison, Colton Hollis of Sparta, Mason Zechary and Jayden Jennings both of Morrison, and Levi Scroggins of Missouri; daughters, Danielle (Cody Owens) Stratton of Woodbury and Dakota (Turner) Adcock of Gulf Shores, AL; four grandchildren, Destinee Stratton, Andrew Stratton, Cadence Higgins, and Jamison Adcock; brothers and sister-in-law, Perry Hughes of Woodbury and Cherrie Lynn (Joe) Reed of Auburntown; niece and nephews, Christi Reed, Ethan Reed, and Pearson Hughes; and by several step-brothers and step-sisters. 
 
Michael was an easy-going person.  He and Terri loved kids and opened their hearts and home to many of them.  They have enjoyed being foster parents to many children in need over the past 25 years.  They were always interested in having the kids involved in whatever they were doing.  He worked at Whirlpool for many years as a supervisor.  He and Terri owned and operated several businesses over the years, Dollar Video, Terri’s Country Kitchen, and currently, Wayne’s Auction House
 
He loved to go camping, fishing, and chase crabs on the beach with the kids when they vacationed at places like Jekyll Island, GA.  He liked to fly kites with them.  He was always tinkering on things.  He could take just about any item that was broken and fix it up.  He liked collecting antiques and other things like Pokemon cards with the kids.  He enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions in his spare time. Terri was a good cook and he loved eating her chicken and dumplings.  He was a member of the North Warren Church of Christ.

G.L. Peeler, age 81, of Woodbury passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Thomas Stones River ER.  He was a native of Cannon County. 
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay Estela Reed Peeler of Woodbury; Children, Marilyn Peeler Poteete of Woodbury & Rena (John) Peeler House of Woodbury; 7 Grandchildren, Lawanna Peeler, Sheenia (Jeremy) Grant, Latisha Poteete, John Lenzy House, Elizabeth House, Emily House, & Elana House; 9 Great Grandchildren, Madelynne Bogle, Samuel Holloway, Austin, Devin, Jack, Noah, & Andie Jane Grant, Georgia & Willobell Poteete; Nephews, Billy (Karen) Cook & Ray (Betty) Todd; and Niece, Mary Lou (Darrell) Goins.
 
G.L. was preceded in death by his parents, George Lee and Hessie Moore Peeler; daughter, Beverly Peeler; sisters, Grace and Nora Cook.
 
He was a member of the Sugar Tree Knob Church of Christ and was a retired locksmith with the State of Tennessee and a farmer.  He was a member of the Army National Guard 194th Engineer Brigade E5. G.L.’s grandfather bought the farm in 1895, where G.L. was born, raised, and lived.  You could always find G.L. reading his Bible.  He enjoyed hunting and wildlife and had turned into a Netflix junkie watching documentaries.  He loved to teach his grandchildren.
 
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup and Bro. Billy Henson officiating. Interment will follow in Peeler Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 3 pm until 8 pm Thursday, November 29, 2018.

Ms. Cathleen Louise “Cat” Thompson, 62, of Woodbury passed away on November 21, 2018.  She was born on October 30, 1956 in San Diego, California.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Bruce Thompson and Beulah Imogene Stonner Thompson. 
She is survived by her sister, Arleen (Michael) Lillie of Muskegon, Michigan; nieces, Jennifer Louise Lillie of Michigan and Amanda Lynn Conti of Iowa; great nieces, Grace Lillie Conti and Carmen Louise Lau; great nephew, Michael John Richard Lau; and friends from the local community.
 
Ms. Cathleen and her sister spent a lot of time traveling with their father while he was in the military.  They were able to see different parts of the country.  She had visited Tennessee at different times and settled here in 2013.  She worked many years for Bell Telephone Company in a management position.  She had a love for hand made knitted and crocheted things.  She enjoyed it so much, she began spinning her own wool.  Her creativity inspired her to spin some yarn from the fur of her long hair cat.  She was a giving person and had a free spirit.

Mr. Joel Carson “Bubba” Youngblood, 42, of Woodbury passed away after a brief illness.  He was born in Smithville, TN on July 22, 1976 but had lived in Woodbury most of his life.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Ross Youngblood and Dovie Dean Cook Youngblood; also, by his wife, Teresa Youngblood.He is survived by his sisters, Wendy (Jeff Clayton) Whittemore of Woodbury, Deana (Jeff) Lorance of Woodbury, and Renee Hart of Illinois; two nieces, seven nephews, five great nieces, and seven great nephews and a special friend Cindy Barrett.
Mr. Joel loved being around kids and loved his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He liked to kid around with them and aggravate them.  He enjoyed going fishing and sitting by a campfire.  He liked listening to country music.  His favorite song recently was Kenny Chesney, It’s Gonna Be Alright.  He loved dogs and would lay on the couch with his dog Rocky.  He carried on the family tradition of being an Atlanta Braves fan.  He was baptized in the Church of Christ.  He was a simple man, who wasn’t hard to please.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years installing fiber optic cables.

Jean Ellen Morgan Faulk, 75, passed away Thurs., Nov. 22, 2018 at St. Thomas Rutherford.  She was a native of Lexington, NC and lived in Readyville. 
She is survived by her children, Richard (Lynn) Sizemore and Tony (Shari) Morgan; grandchildren, Christopher (Shannon) Sizemore, Michael Sizemore, Ashley (Justin) Todd, Joseph Morgan and Clay Sizemore; great grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew and Michael Sizemore and Madison Todd; siblings, Jesse (Walter) Walsh of Bryson City, N.C., Robert W. “Bill” Standford, Lexington, N.C., Donald L. “Bucky” Standford of Lexington, N.C., Gerald “George” Standford of Ashboro, N.C., Debbie (Eddie) Parker of Lexington, N.C.; brother-in-law,  Raymond Matthews of Cherokee, N.C.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L Standford and Frankie Nations Stanford; husbands, Joe Frank Morgan and William C. Faulk; her son, Greg Sizemore.
 
Jean was retired from both Trindad/Bennam as a Machine Operator and from MTSU as a custodian.  She loved anything to do with the water including being on the lake and boat.
 
Funeral Services will be 1 pm Monday, November 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Matthews and Jerry Barrett officiating.  Interment will follow in Faulk Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 10 am until time of service Monday, 11/26/18.
