She is survived by her husband of 72 years, William Keith Bowman, Sr. of Woodbury; children, Alice Bowman Whittle, Pam (Michael) O’Hara, Bill Bowman and Charles (Cynthia) Bowman all of Cannon Co.; grandchildren, Crystal O’Hara Boyce, Jimmy Whittle, Tiffany O’Hara, Cliff Bowman, Christopher Bowman, Brooke Bowman Slaughter, and Sara Bowman; siblings, Yvonne Powell Barrett of Murfressboro and Maurice Powell of Woodbury.
5 great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles T. Powell and Magnolia Golden Powell, sisters, Inez Powell and Louise Powell Cummings, brother, Odell Powell, son-in-law, George Whittle and granddaughter, Angel Whittle Sears.
A member of the Church of Christ, Mrs. Anita had the most prestigious job in being a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her grandchildren, and gardening.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg, Jr. and Bro. Richard Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation with his family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Saturday, February 20, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
