The American Legion Post 279 of Cannon County has announced they will be conducting this years Fireworks Celebration event on Friday July 3rd at the Dillon Park. Festivities will begin at 3:00 and run until the fireworks around 9:00. The fireworks is funded by the Cannon County, along with the Cities of Woodbury and Town of Auburntown. Activities include Games for Children, Veterans will be selling American Flags of All Sizes. The Sons of The American Legion Squadron 279 will be selling snow cones of all flavors and patriotic trinkets. The Post Legionnaires and the Ladies of the Auxillary Unit will have a concession stand available with plenty of good food and drinks. There will be plenty of entertainment and music. And this year, the Post has added considerably more and longer fireworks to the July event.
