Thursday 21 February 2008The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has cancelled an AMBER alert after the safe recovery of a four-year-old child and the capture of her alleged abductor near Smyrna. Shortly after the TBI issued the statewide alert this morning a car driven by Jerry John Jones was seen leaving a motel in Franklin and heading eastbound on Highway 96. A Smyrna Police officer spotted a man spray painting a car matching the description of the one in the alert. Police gave chase and tracked him down a few minutes later. Jones allegedly abducted his daughter Madison Kerr from her home in Cumming Georgia last Friday. Jones had been wanted on four counts of child molestation charges and now faces additional abduction charges.
