Doyle O'Brien, 77, deid Saturday, October 4th. He was a resident of Woodbury and a native of Christiana.

Survivors include; his wife, Patricia Ann O'Brien, son Joey King, daughter Melanie McFarlin, son Greg King, son Chris King and 7 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral sericces for Doyle O'Brien will be Tuesday, October 7th in the chapel of Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. Brothers Herb Alsup and Al Bugg, Jr. will conducnt the service. Burial will be in the Coleman Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 4:00 till 8:00pm.

Georgia Foster, 89, died Tuesday, September 30th following an extended illness. She was a resident of Murfreesboro and a native of Cannon County.

She is survived by her husband, James Foster of Murfreesboro.

Funeral services for Georgia Foster will be in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 1 pm Friday. Brother Kenneth Hale will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Blue Wing Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday from10:00am until time of the service at the funeral home.

Brother Charles Odell Powell

Brother Charles Odell Powell, 81, died Wednesday, September 24th at Stones River Hospital following an extended illness. He was a resident of Woodbury and native of Warren County.

Survivors include; wife, Doris Haley Powell, children, Jerry Powell, Danny Powell, Jeff Powell and Annette Powell Payne all of Woodbury, siblings, Maurice Powell and Anita Bowman of Woodbury, Yvonne Condra of Manchester, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also survive.

Brother Powell was a member of the Pleasant View Church of Christ was a life long Church of Christ Preacher.

Funeral services for Brother Charles will be on Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro. Lenwood Mathis, Bro. Garland Elkins and Bro. Charles Williams will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri from 2-9p.m.

Myrtle Shelton, 95 died Tuesday, September 23rd at Woodbury Nursing Center following an extended illness. She was a resident of Woodbury and a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include; children, Aubrey Shelton of Lebanon, Jacky Shelton of Michigan and Joyce Warpoole of Murfreesboro, 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Myrtle Shelton will be Saturday, September 27th in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2:00pm. Burial will be in Cherry Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 10:00am until time of the service.

Annie (Odom) Simmons, 89, died September 21, 2008. She was a resident of Woodbury and a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include four sons, Donald Simmons of Murfreesboro, Jimmy Simmons of Woodbury, Wade Simmons of Manchester and Glen Simmons of Woodbury; daughters, Geneva Simmons and Callie Parker both of Woodbury; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Annie Simmons will be Wednesday, September 24th, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Bro. Gayle Alexander will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Garden. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, September 23rd, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Gracie Manus Davenport, 85 of Woodbury died Sun., Sept. 21 at her home following an extended illness.

She is survived by her sons, Alvin E. Davenport of Readyville; Robert H. Davenport of Merced, Edward Grant Davenport of San Jose, Allan Craig Davenport all of California, brothers, George Manus of Woodbury, Thomas Manus of Maryland; sister, Betty Waggner of Indiana, also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 1:00pm Friday, September 26th. Bro. Richard Haley will conduct the service. Burial will be in Centerhill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 2 pm till 9 pm.

Nancy Ellen Bain Mathis, 78, died Friday, September 19th at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was a resident of Murfreesboro and a native of Dekalb County.

Survivors include; sons, Jimmy C, Roy Dale, Timothy, George, Lanny and Mickey all of Murfreesboro and Landon Mathis of Smithville, daughters; Janice E. Barrett and Rosetta Mathis both of Murfreesboro, sister; Gertrude Jones of McMinnville, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Nancy Ellen Bain Mathis will be Tuesday, September 23rd at 2:00pm in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Centerhill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, September 22nd from 3:00pm-10:00pm at the funeral home.

Aubrey Lee Womack, 87, of Woodbury died Friday September 19th.

Survivors include; daughter, Charlene W. Burden of Bowling Green, Kentucky; son, Bobby Womack of Woodbury; sister, Betty Smith of Woodbury, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive. He was a veteran having served during World War II.

Funeral services for Aubrey Lee Womack will be 2:00pm Monday in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Brother Herb Alsup and Brother Al Bugg will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday.

Survivors include; wife, Elizabeth Barrett Bauman of Woodbury, children, Margaret Odom, Michelle Browning, Melisa Hobbs and Mark Bauman all of Woodbury, step-son Robin Cook of Brush Creek, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for William Edward Bauman will be Sunday at 3:00pm in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Brother Greg Mitchell will conduct the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from noon until 9:00pm at the funeral home. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Aaron Travis Singleton, 20 of Woodbury, died Wednesday, September 17th from injuries received in an auto crash.

Survivors include; parents, Robert and Patty Matheny Singleton of Woodbury; sister, Lisa Wimberly of Woodbury; brother, Bobby Singleton of Woodbury; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Travis Singleton of Woodbury; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Aaron Travis Singleton will be held in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 3:00pm Saturday, September 20th. Brother Glen Gilley will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Thyatira cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00pm till 9:00pm, Friday, September 19th.
